ironically, it started happening the same time i updated my nvidia drivers last night. This issue popped up for me too very recently, the game would just crash upon walking around the map for about 5-10 minutes. Thank you if you've made it through my post. None of the fixes I've tried had a significant affect on the way the game crashes or the duration of play before a crash. Sometimes the game crashes after entering and exiting menus, sometimes it crashes after leaving the map screen, sometimes while leaving a mini game, while riding the horse, after letting the game sit for a while and coming back the game will crash after moving a bit. The game will sometimes run for an hour, sometimes 10 minutes. This is the only game or program I've ever had issues with and I really don't know what else to do. using afterburner to under clock GPU core clock by -50Mhz using.Clear out everything in temp and %temp%.Clean boot with no unnecessary start up applications.Change priority in task manager to High.Turn off antivirus and firewall completely.Create exceptions inbound / outbound firewall rules for RDR2.Delete contents of SGA files and make read only.Delete SGA files in RDR2 settings folder.Adding "-ignorpipelinecache" as a launch argument.Every other time the game crashes to desktop with no error message and no intervention from task manager.Occasionally I will get "err_gfx_state Please restart" at crash to desktop when windows says the program stopped running.16GB Gskill Trident Z (no OC, xmp disabled).Asus ROG GTX 1070 (latest driver clean installed).MSI B350 gaming plus (latest bios installed).No over clocks, xmp disabled and virtualization disabled in bios, Latest windows update installed. Not interested in mods, cheats, or online play, this is strictly about the raw base game played in single player mode.
